Pastinya anda sudah berusaha upgrade wordpress secara otomatis bukan, namun selalu gagal. Jika demikian lebih baik kita coba tutorials konvensional tetapi manjur ini. tahapan untuk upgrade wordpress cara manual yang perlu diperhatikan sekali yaitu :
1. Deactive semua plugin untuk mengantisipasi ketidakcocokan versi wordpress yang akan kita upgrade nanti.
2. Download wordpress versi terbaru disini kemudian ektrak pada komputer anda
3. Siapkan FTP FileZilla untuk proses update wordpress manual nanti.
Setelah tiga poin diatas telah anda siapkan selanjutnya jalankan filezilla dan masukan host,username dan password cpanel anda. Buka folder public_html dan beri tanda ceklis semuanya terlebih dulu karena kita akan memilih beberapa file yang tidak harus di hilangkan setelah semuanya anda ceklis pilih file berikut dibawah ini dan hilangkan tanda ceklisnya
a. wp-config.php
b. wp-content
c. .htaccess
d. sitemap.xml dan sitemap.xml.gz
e. google, yahoo dan bing verifikasi
